Centre Pompidou-Metz, France

They have designed a building that looks like a circus tent from a distance and is characterised by a curved wooden roof construction. The dense wooden construction is made of laminated spruce, which is coated with a waterproof, white membrane skin made of glass fibre and Teflon. This makes the building, which is illuminated at night, appear transparent and the construction underneath becomes visible.
